Rue Faubourg St.-Honoré and Rue St.-Honoré, two connected thoroughfares lined with notable boutiques, are pivotal luxury shopping arteries in Paris. Not surprisingly, Burberry already manages a flagship store on the first, but as of late, the British luxury brand has extended its footprint by launching an additional temporary retail space on the latter road. Inspired by the Burberry flagship store on Regent Street in London, the pop-up store occupies a unit inside a historic late 18th-century building and features a clean and modern interior design by creative director Riccardo Tisci. The space is divided into two rooms, one featuring walls and curtains dipped in a powder pink hue, fluffy beige carpeting and furnishings crafted from lacquered light timber. Right next door, the settings shifts to soft green walls and displays, and a swirling sofa in a matching hue. The side wall is entirely clad in mirrors, optically enlarging the room, and similar carpeting ties in the two spaces. Lighting is kept simple and functional, and comprises of ceiling-embedded light spots and rows of tubular lights. The new Burberry pop-up store carries the brand’s full S/S 2020 Collection for both men and women.
