Just a few months after Hedi Slimane announced the launch of La Collection Celine Haute Parfumerie, a collection of eleven sophisticated fragrances, the creative director has revealed a dedicated retail space on rue St.-Honoré, a hyper chic thoroughfare in the heart of Paris that’s lined with boutiques from peers in fashion’s upper echelon. Designed by Slimane himself, the Celine Haute Parfumerie retail space sees an abundance of details which tie in with the aesthetic of all other revamped Celine stores across the planet. A wooden façade dipped in a glossy black hue frames a setting which sees walls clad in polished black & white marble and slabs of mirror, flooring of granite tiles, glass cabinets, and last but certainly not least, rather fancy looking mirror-clad tiered displays. The notoriously elusive designer also handpicked the furniture pieces and artworks which dot the space, including minimalist paintings by Søren Sejr and Camilla Reyman, sculptures by Luisa Gardini, and a selection of objects which are presented in still life settings on robust wooden logs. Presented at the Celine Haute Parfumerie are the first nine fragrances – the final two are to be launched next year – and an additional selection of small but very fancy goods, including toiletry sets, leather lighter holders and perfume bottle cases of the same material.
