Just when you thought you’d be all set for the summer season, MYKITA releases a new collection of alluring yet indispensible trophies. In the eyewear brand’s sixth MYKITA Studio series, a line for high-fashion concepts, the sunglasses and optical frames evoke optical illusion art from the 1960s. Although a nod to the past, all models are actually inspired by latest advancements in surface treatment technology. A precision etching process enables the ultra-fine lines that follow the exact contour of the frame and create the 3D graphic pattern. Combining metallic tones with matt solid colours a psychedelic effect is emphasised. Shown here are three sunglass models that we particularly like. The new MYKITA Studio 6 sunglasses and frames are available at MYKITA stores and select depositories across the planet, including Mameg (Los Angeles), Totokaelo (New York), Reflect (Amsterdam), VooStore (Berlin), Restir (Tokyo) and Shifting Worlds (Melbourne).
