AMIRI is on a roll, opening one standalone store after another. Following outposts in key cities, such as New York City, Los Angeles and Miami, the luxury brand sets up shop in Chicago. Occupying no less than 11.500 sq.ft. (1,068 sqm.) spread over two floors of a modern building along East Walton Street, it features a collaborative interior design by Mike Amiri, the brand’s creative director, and Paris-based architecture and design firm NOCOD, but also is alongside a partnership with Two One Two Design, a design practice in New York City. The premises flaunt the AMIRI design codes, albeit adapted to the location and somewhat tweaked to avoid a generic format. A modern material palette of natural materials, including natural oak, precious marble, and stainless steel, is captured by a series of understated yet inviting settings.

Additionally, the store is dotted by a number of striking site-specific art installations that aim to elevate the shopping experience . There’s a large-scale work by renowned American artist Jason Revok taken from his ongoing Spirograph series, artwork from local contemporary art haunt gallery 1871, presenting two pieces by local collaborative artist duo Alridge. The new AMIRI store carries the brand’s men’s and women’s ready-to-wear and kidswear, footwear and accessories. But that’s not all. Also on the shelves is an exclusive capsule collection inspired by the red and black colours of the city’s iconic sport team, comprising tees, sweatshirts, hoodies, trackpants, MX1 jeans and caps, all designed in AMIRI’s signature silhouettes and motifs, including a limited-edition Chicago bone logo.
