Anyone even remotely interested in fashion knows Isetan is the real deal. The upscale department store in Tokyo‘s bustling Shinjuku district has been a fixture in the local retail scene for many decades, offering a fine selection of goods that’s matched by only a handful of other retail establishments across the planet. The merchandise here is as elaborate as it’s varied, and the multitude of pop-ups on the premises certainly has a lot to do with it. The very latest to have opened is the highly anticipated ephemeral retail space by Louis Vuitton, featuring creative director Kim Jones‘s final men’s collection for the luxury brand. The setting features paneling, displays and cabinets, all dipped in neon orange – a shade that’s abundantly used in the items on offer of Louis Vuitton‘s A/W 2018 collection. The collection is themed Perspective, and offers a fresh interpretation of Louis Vuitton‘s traditional items and motifs. Needless to say, the pop-up presents the collection ahead of stores nationwide, and it’ll also include exclusive limited edition items, such as messenger bag designed with black tone and a zippered tote bag, and sneakers (on through Jul 17). And that’s not all, a pop-up store dedicated to the brand’s latest women’s collection will be launched in two days.
