singapore: k+ gallery opening

kinetic is a boutique design and advertising agency based in singapore. founded by a group of forward thinking creatives in 1999, they've earned their spurs with innovative work that seeking to attain the elusive balance between creativity and marketing objectives. as a protagonist of innovation and creativity, kinetic is obviously well-connected in the local creative scene. the company has recently decided to engage more actively with this specific demographic by creating a temporary platform where to give budding talent much needed exposure. the space is called k+ and is located on the third floor of scotts square, an upscale downtown mall that we've talked about in a previous post.

the configuration and design of the space will change accoring to the specifications of each exhibition or presentations. open through the end of august, it'll feature a rotating schedule of curated events. the inaugural show of k+, entitled alive without breath, is dedicated to singaporean artist keng lye. the artist's intricate aquatic works, crafted from paint, multiple layers of resin and sometimes incorporating objects, are known for their stunning hyperrealism, and on display is an exemplary collection of his work [on through feb 15]. location: scotts square, 6 scotts road, unit 03-14/15 [orchard west].
