the paul mccarthy’s low life slow life group show just launched at the cca wattis institute for contemporary art [on until may 30]. it’s an autobiographical exhibition curated by artist paul mccarthy, presenting a diverse range of artists and artworks related to his memories of his career. this is the second half of this two-part show and focuses on his years in los angeles from 1970 to the present, emphasizing the emergence of alternative performance practices, conceptual art, installation art, and video art. location: california collega of the arts, 1111 eighth street [soma].
