rian dundon is a talented photographer based in san francisco. fascinated by china and chinese culture, he first ventured there in 2005 at the age of 24. dundon had planned to stay for one year, but in the end stayed on for six. initially not speaking a single word of mandarin, he gradually caught on by bravely immersing himself in daily life in changsha, a sprawling boomtown of six million in southern china. whenever traversing the concrete jungle, dundon carried his camera to document his every move and encounter. the result is changsha, an intriguing book of over 200 pages of photographs and writing, produced over six years of living in the people's republic. click [here] for more information and how to purchase a copy.
