online: can i make the music fly?

for the opening the new dior homme boutique in miami and to enhance its interactive retail environment, creative director kris van assche commissioned photographer bruce weber to shoot an exclusive short film that premiered earlier this week. dubbed can i make music fly?, it's a glorious celebration of creative spirit and personal voice. the film was shot in new york city and features the inextricably linked universes of classical music and ballet. the film features four rising talents from both fields: ukrainian ballet dancer sergei polunin, british violinist charlie siem, pianist mason buccheri and violinist claudius agrippa. after a dedication to the iconoclastic canadian pianist glenn gould, the film proceeds through a series of vignettes in which different combinations of these individuals perform their interpretations if works by maurice ravel, claude debussy and others.
