chamber is an adventurous art and design-focused gallery boutique based in chelsea. led by juan garcía mosqueda, it has a keen eye for top quality and innovation, it occupies a stellar space alongside the highline park. the gallery currently presents its second annual collection, entitled human | nature, and which is curated by celebrated photographer and filmmaker andrew zuckerman in collab with mosqueda. in this showcase, zuckerman explores the theme of how the natural world interacts with man’s living environment as expressed through a wide variety of design objects, art, and various types of ephemera. on display is a mix of customized contemporary design pieces, specially commissioned unique editions, and historic objects, and quite interestingly, the collection will evolve throughout the year as an ever-changing presentation of exceptional artefacts. the set-up consists of three separate installments, held in the fall, winter and spring. the installment presents an eclectic pack of contemporary designers and artists from across the planet, including botanic artist azuma makoto, architect bjarke ingels, designer carl auböck, landscape architect marc keane, and experimental designer marlène huissoud. location: 515 west 23rd street [chelsea].
