han kjøbenhavn is a danish brand known for its sturdy men's apparel, denim and matching eyewear pieces. after opening its first flagship store in copenhagen early last year, designers tim faith and jannik wikkelso davidsen take another major leap forward by opening up shop in new york city. the boutique covers an area of 850 sq.ft. [79 sqm.], and features a clean white but glossy interior. next to shelving and displays in the same hue, it's sparsely furnished with three beautiful chairs by danish designer nicolaj bo. the han kjøbenhavn store carries the brand's full range of collections, in addition to a carefully edited selection of items from fellow danish brands, such as lego architecture and various design books. last week's opening party was a laid-back affair, and a reunion of sorts of young new york-based scandinavian hipsters. location: 27 prince street [nolita].
