one thing's for sure, india never ceases to amaze us. this booming nation is now home to the planet's most expensive home. business tycoon mukesh ambani had a striking landmark erected in the country's business capital of mumbai. the fancy downtown pad cost a mere usd 77 million to build, but it's already estimated to be worth a staggering usd 1 billion. dubbed antilia residence, the structure is designed by u.s. architecture practice perkins+will. although it has only 27 floors, it stands 173 metres high, making it one of the city's tallest buildings. and it isn't only home to ambani and his family, but also features an office for 600 of his employees, a six-floor car park, a four-storey hanging garden, a 50-seat cinema, and no less than three helipads. location: altamount road [tardeo]. © jay hariani - residence antilia in mumbai
