a.p.c. has finally arrived down under with a standalone store of its own in melbourne's iconic qv building. similar to many of the brand's other stores, this one features a striking interior design by paris-based architect and longtime collaborator laurent deroo. beautiful pale oak is the prevalent element, crafted into a sleek shelving system that covers the entire back wall. the same material has been used to create matching series of furnishings, most notably the massive display that takes center stage and incorporates the shop's sales counter and seating at the same time. the walls on either side are covered in rows of large panels that protrude in an even pattern, allowing artificial light to shine through sections of the linear crevices. attached to the walls are rows of clothing racks, and obviously they're in pale oak too. the a.p.c. store currently stocks the brand's men's and women's s/s 2014 collection of apparel, shoes, accessories and a range of collab items. location: qv building, albert coates lane, shop acl13 [cbd].
