london: vitsœ window installation

the history of modular furniture manufacturer vitsœ is inextricably connected to the career of dieter rams. the german industrial designer created the iconic universal shelving system which has been in production since the 1960s. vitsœ currently has a window installation at dover street market in london that is inspired by these modular principles, albeit constructed with origami pieces in varying shapes and sizes. these have been assembled to reflect rams’ aforementioned product concept that can be easily adapted to meet individual needs through the versatility of its construction. the arrangement of the space, with the shelves radiating from all directions, also reflects one of the main objectives of the master's designs: to bring order out of chaos. the window installation will be on display through jan 23. location: 17-18 dover street [mayfair].
