london: orbiting on the periphery

after painting graffiti in the streets of his hometown dublinmaser [1980] enrolled in art school to study visual communication. combining his formal education with the artistic swagger he acquired on the street, the artist quickly made a name for himself home and abroad. maser's style is a bold expression of colour and marked by graphic qualities that fuse into playful, geometric compositions. he currently has a solo exhibition, entitled orbiting on the periphhery, at lazarides rathbone gallery in london. on display is an intriguing new body of work with which maser continues his exploration into the ancient greek philosopher and mathematician thales of miletus’s mens sana in corpore sano, a renowned theory in which physical health and condition are recognised as an essential part of psychological balance [on through may 5]. location: 11 rathbone place [fitzrovia].
