london: fixed stare

kirk beattie and matthew murphy of london's other shop know a thing or two about retail and fashion, and how to keep shoppers inspired. they've now teamed up with set designer + illustrator gary card for an exclusive t-shirt line. card is hailed for his playful positivity, unsurpassable grasp of colour, texture and print, and has already collaborated with some of the planet's leading brands, designers and artists. called fixed stare, the tees are inspired by card’s desire to create images that were ghostly. this resulted in a series of haunting but edgy faces that almost look illuminated. these drawings come in a bright colour palette of pink, green, blue and yellow and have a unique life like look due to the textured detailing. all this set against black t-shirts give the illustrations a bolder and impressive look, thus giving a complying look and feel. mind you, card's t-shirt line is launched tonight [6.30pm-9.30pm] at other shop and also sees the opening of an accompanying installation. location: 21 kingly street [soho].
