a fixture in hong kong's dynamic retail landscape for as long as we can remember, paul smith has served its sizeable following in the city with a string of standalone boutiques and shop-in-shops at key locations. the british brand has recently added a seventh boutique in the city, and this one is exclusively dedicated to its ps paul smith diffusion line. the store is situated on paterson street in causeway bay, on an upscale stretch of real estate better known to fashion-savvy locals as fashion walk, it's exactly what the name implies, and features a slew of upscale boutiques. the fluorescent pink façade is an intentional bold statement, beckoning shoppers from afar. the street level unit measures 90 sqm. [969 sq.ft.] and boasts a modern, clean interior design, made up by a polished concrete floor, black steel hanging rails, and a mix of modern fixtures and vintage furniture.

an eye-catching element in the latter respect is a pair of 1960s sculptural shell chairs from danish designer ib kofod-larsen that have been upholstered in a colourful wool fabric. throughout the premises original artwork adorns the walls, alongside a number of photographs shot by designer paul smith himself. the new ps paul smith boutique obviously carries the line's full range of men's and women's apparel, accessories and shoes, but in celebration of the opening, shoppers are given an additional treat. the s/s 2015 collections of both the ps by paul smith and paul by paul smith diffusion lines will be launched exclusively here for an entire month. location: causeway bay mansion, 42-48 paterson street, shop a [causeway bay].
