frankfurt: tsatsas store opening

tsasas is a fine leather bags and accessories brand founded in 2012 by husband and wife team esther schulze-tsatsas and dimitrios tsatsas. previously managing a design studio in provincial offenbach, the creative duo decided to step up their operations and relocate to the urban limelight, opening a combined showroom, office, and last but not least, a retail space in nearby frankfurt. the 100 sqm. [1,076 sq.ft.] ground floor unit has been completely gutted and rebuilt to meet the owners' requirements, and resulting in various distinct sections. each has a different purpose yet the aesthetic – which is best described as clean and functional – manifests cohesively.

the subtle palette comprises of simple materials such as plywood panels and industrial shelving. a true eyecatcher in the new tsatsas space is the floor-to-ceiling storage unit with marble shelves that dimitrios tsatsas importefd from his native greece. adding an artisanal element to the setting, and quite literally so, is a workshop unit. crafted from plywood panels, it's almost an independent room. the office space is discreetly concealed behind a floor-to-ceiling wall panel with an integrated section of tinted glass. the tsatsas retail space stocks the brand's latest range of leather bags and accessories, and is accessible by appointment only. location: frankenallee 104 [gallus].
