an agressive and fast-growing player in the global airline industry, dubai-based emirates knows how to woo passengers. the airline launched wifi internet access on board 11 of 19 airbus a380 aircraft, the planet's biggest passenger plane, and the service will be introduced to another 71 of such aircraft it currently has on order. emirates features four prices, covering normal and heavy use for cell phones and laptops [although mobile services won't be introduced until june 2012[. prices start at usd 7.50 for cell phone use up to 5mb, rising to usd 15 for 25mb. laptop prices begin at usd 15 for 25mb, rising to usd 25 for 100mb. airbus a380 aircraft which feature wifi are rotated and thus the new service is not available on dedicated emirates routes.
