amsterdam: unfair18

the biannual art showcase unfair returns to the grounds of amsterdam's westergasfabriek on mar 29 for a five-day presentation. set up as a contemporary art fair and showcase, the event features a new body of work of no less than 40 emerging and established artists, all embedded in a lifestyle context which sees additional performances, music, bites and drinks. for the very first time, unfair will occupy several venues on the grounds, including the so-called machinegebouw which houses a lifesize video installation that'll feature screenings of artists such as the rodina, jeroen cluckers en olya oleinic. the zuiveringshal will host un air, a daily radio show in collab with radio station ja ja ja nee nee nee and art magazine mister motley, and featuring a rotation of artists, scientists, curators, architects, and even kids, as guests. a new element at unfair is the loyens & loeff emerging artist award which will be given to a promising talent. location: westergasfabriek, pazzanistraat 37, [staatsliedenbuurt].
