broken fingaz is an acclaimed psych-pop and street art collective based in haifa. they were recently invited to amsterdam by made creative - a foundation which aims to promote bold creative ideas and initiatives - and battalion/andenken gallery for a two-week outdoor project. the broken fingaz crew first started to work on a large-scale mural [1] on a derelict building in the city's docklands. the painting features a shared colour scheme and interconnected imagery, and is a quirky play on the colours of the dutch flag. it partially depicts an allusion of the group's sojourn in the netherlands and their travels to and from the dutch capital.

broken fingaz are currently prepping a show of new work by each of its members at battalion/andenken gallery [2], opening there fri - sep 6 [6pm-10pm]. meanwhile they'll also be meeting up with amsterdam kids to shed light on how they approach creating large-scale murals and build a gallery exhibition, and will stage a special workshop for them.  additionally, they'll be meeting local street artists and street art gallerists for a meet and greet. mind you, a special pop-up store will open on the gallery premises stocking merchandise created by various broken fingaz' members. location [1]: t.t. melaniaweg 12 [amsterdam noord]. location [2]: pazzanistraat 17 [staatsliedenbuurt].
