As a beacon of unadulterated luxury in Berlin, department store KaDeWe knows how to indulge even the most jaded of clients. But as of late, it knows how to do so just a little bit better. We’re talking studio 358, the nail studio’s newly opened outpost on the premises. Perched on the third floor, the setting, designed by local architecture and design practice RHO, sees a sleek semi-circular counter crafted from shiny metal and paired with five stools upholstered with contrasting soft purple fabric. Hovering right above is a matching, similarly shaped suspended light fixture. A backdrop of tinted floor-to-ceiling tinted mirror panels, which match with the carpeting, offer beautifully deceptive reflections. Concealed by curtains, studio 358‘s additional sections for lash applications and pedicure can be found, featuring respectively fully reclined seating and an elevated area with chunky metal sofas. The chosen aesthetic captures studio 358‘s forward brand identity, while it also seamlessly adapts to the department store’s material language and atmosphere. © superfuture
