Following a lengthy renovation period, the Miu Miu store on New Bond Street in London has revealed its brand new look. Occupying approx. 700 sqm. (7,535 sq.ft.) set across two floors of a six-story office structure built in 2011, the interior design has been executed by the brand’s in-house design team at home base Milan. An extrapolation from its highly coveted runway looks, the settings see an eclectic use of materials, oozing sophistication, irreverance and playfulness, and all at the same time. The voluminous ground floor sees metal flooring, but intricately constructed like parquet, paired with walls in a soft baby blue, and an expansive Barrisol ceiling overlaid by a row of beams in light timber
Furnishings and fixtures are few and simple, and include displays and cabinets in eye-popping bright colours, timber shelving, recessed wall shelving, sleek metal clothing racks, timber mannequins, and a large-sized sofa in the footwear section. A staircase leads to the upper floor which sees an infusion of wood—a mosaic of panels clads the ceiling, while underfoot a similar coverge can be found, overlaid by large carpets in soft yellow. Furnishings comprise comfy sofas and large display tables, while metal clothing racks line the soft blue walls and windows. The new Miu Miu store carries the full range of women’s apparel, accessories, bags, shoes, and jewellery pieces. Additionally, there’ll be a new, store-exclusive Miu Miu Upcycled collection, created in a collaboration with designer Catherine Martin. © superfuture
