At the beginning of last month, Valentino held an invite-only Pavilion des Folies party at the Tokyo National Museum in Tokyo. Celebrating the eponymous S/S 2025 Collection of the iconic Roman fashion house, guests were greeted by Le Chat de la Maison, a monumental 3D installation that paid homage to the hand-painted cat-shaped minaudières previously featured on the Valentino catwalk in Paris, symbolising the playful sophistication of the collection. Guests indulged in engaging set-ups in various rooms of the museum, including a red lounge where a signature drink inspired by milk was served, which also happens to be featured in the Pavillon des Folies campaign. And that’s not all. Artists Kaiki Ohara and 50Minimals performed a live gig and DJ set, offering guests an intriguing soundscape throughout the premises. Following the party, Valentino has launched a tour alongside its most prominent boutiques in the Land of the Rising Sun. The aforementioned party’s Le Chat de la Maison installation, which comprises a two-metre cat sculpture, is currently tour and is embedded in a setting which presents a variety of items of the Fall 2025 Collection, including ready-to-wear, cross-body bags, shoes, jewellery and key rings. © superfuture
