The name may sound a tad ominous, but Alcohome spawned from the innovative minds of a group of savvy young entrepreneurs with connections in Tel Aviv‘s buzzing nightlife scene, and smack in the middle of the global pandemic. Given the ingredients, it isn’t surprising that the, initially fully improv, venture later evolved from an online alcohol delivery service, to fixed retail space stocking the finest in alcoholic drinks. Alcohome has secured a 120 sqm. (1,292 sq.ft.) unit on the ground floor of a residential building, and features an interior design by local architecture practice Studio SB. Clean and understated, the setting is anchored by two interactive tasting stations where shoppers are invited to explore, sample, and discuss Alcohome‘s rare liquors, cocktails and other offerings.

The interior may be minimalistic, but applies textured plaster finishes, raw surfaces, and restrained colour palette, allowing shoppers to focus on the products on display. A pair of specially designed sculptural light fixtures hover over two chunky display tables, while ample shelving units line the walls. At the back of Alcohome, a hybrid zone, furnished with a sizeable communal table, and again, plenty of shelving, serves as warehouse, service centre, and back-office. This operational hub of sorts effortlessly extends from the retail area  at the front. As said, Alcohome stocks a wide range of alcoholic beverages from home turf, but also imported from abroad, ranging from beers and wines, liquors, cocktail drinks, assorted foods, and relevant accessories. © superfuture
