Coinciding with its tenth anniversary, Stockholm-based fashion brand Asket has inaugurated a second standalone boutique, and this time, it’s the first one abroad. Founded by duo August Bard Bringéus and Jakob Sazon Dworsky, the brand set out ambitiously to initiate a world free from mindless consumption. As such, Asket not only aims to create a single permanent collection, but refining it as it evolves, offering only a strictly limited range of resourcefully and responsibly crafted, timeless essentials. Mind you, all garments are manufactured exclusively on the Old Continent from natural fibres. The store occupies a voluminous , entrance, 137 sqm. (1,474 sq.ft.) ground floor unit on Brewer Street, one of the main shopping arteries in the coveted Soho shopping district of London.

The interior design is created by Profan, an architecture practice based in the Swedish capital, and is a clear extrapolation of Asket‘s brand values, featuring a clean and understated aesthetic crafted from a subdued palette of carefully sourced materials. The retail space sees a sequence of volumes right in the middle, comprising display cabinets and a shelving unit, all in metal, and alternated by a timber sales counter. The configuration is flanked on one side by a robust clothing display, and an elongated low display on the other. At the back of the store, a fitting room can be found. Although ample daylight floods through the large window and entrance, a suspended light system provides additional lighting when required. The new Asket store carries the brand’s full  collection of garments, and also offers complimentary repair services. © superfuture
