The best ideas pop up in full relaxation mode, and that’s actually what happened with OAS. Founded in 2010 by Oliver Lundgren while commuting back and forth between home base Stockholm and his family summer home in Barcelona, OAS has since gone leaps and bounds, becoming a leading resortwear brand on home turf and beyond. The brand manufactures timeless quality garments which exude fashion’s frenetic seasonal cycles, while also abiding to sustainability, inclusivity, and responsibility principles in its business practice. Taking the company’s operations to a new level, OAS has just inaugurated a showroom and dye studio in the city’s Södermalm neighbourhood. The space is seen as a natural extension of the brand’s creative process. The studio produces exclusive, one-of-a-kind pieces, while also offering visitors the opportunity to experiment with colour and form. The studio is designed by architects Victor Ingmo Magnergård and Johan Demling at IMDA Studio in collaboration with Lundgren, and sees an understated aesthetic with whitewashed walls and ceilings, concrete flooring and matching metal furnishings and fixtures. The new OAS studio focuses on producing one-of-a-kind, locally crafted pieces. © superfuture
