Founded by Agnieszką Balbierz, Bohèmi Soul is a Polish sustainable womenswear brand which has made waves in the local fashion scene. Banking on its growing populairy, the brand has opened branded retail spaces, and the very latest to open is a flagship store in Warsaw‘s historic Śródmieście district. The Bohèmi Soul retail space occupies a unit on the ground floor of a listed, early 20th-century residential building by Polish architect Stanisław Grochowicz (1858-1938). The brand tapped Warsaw-based interior architect and brand designer Kornelia Kiełbasa to create a fitting setting. The store features three rooms, in addition to a relaxing café, aptly called Bohèmi Café. The retail space has a soothing colour palette of off-white, buttercream, and earthy tones, while two archways are a subtle nod to the natural curvature of planet Earth.

The ethereal backdrop is counterbalanced by a robust sales desk in a high-gloss off-white hue, dark timber shelving and a striking display table. Mind you, the latter two furnishings have been meticulously crafted by wood artisan Bartłomiej Stawiński. Additional bespoke elements include a black steel wavy staircase rail and curated vintage furniture, such as Danish mid-century chairs and a leather sofa. Interestingly, the design is also a reference to the 1960s store interior of Moda Polska, a Polish state-owned fashion company which translated trends in world fashion in the state clothing industry for four decades until 1998. The new Bohèmi Soul flagship store stocks the full range of apparel, accessories, cosmetics and jewellery. © superfuture
