ASICS and Dutch football-inspired apparel brand Lack of Guidance have collaborated on the GEL-QUANTUM™ 360 VIII by Lack of Guidance, marking the Amsterdam-based brand’s debut footwear release. The design takes inspiration from the iconic 1998 Japan goalkeeper jersey, widely regarded as ASICS‘ most legendary football jersey. The shoe features orange mesh accents on the upper, reflecting the fiery tones of the World Cup kit. The predominantly black and orange colourway is enhanced with silver details, completing the bold palette. The collaboration highlights Lack of Guidance’s ability to reimagine iconic sportswear through a contemporary lens. The ASICS Gel-quantum 360 designed by Lack of Guidance was launched on Fri – Jan 31 exclusively through Lack of Guidance very own online store and the brand’s physical location in the Dutch capital’s notorious Red Light District. From Fri – Feb 7, the shoes will also be available at select retailers worldwide. All proceeds from sales at Lack of Guidance will be donated to Football Beyond Borders, an organisation that uses the power of football to change the lives of young people. Football Beyond Borders envisions an education system where every young person has a trusted adult throughout their teenage years. Research shows that attainment and mental health outcomes are improved for the most vulnerable young people when they have a trusted adult in their lives. © superfuture
