Despite declining prospects for most foreign brands, China remains an influential market given its enormous size and buying power. However, many a brand goes the extra yard to woo young consumers there, including Stone Island. Celebrating the upcoming Year of the Snake, which commences Wed – Jan 29, the coveted Milan-based brand has dropped a dedicated capsule collection. A symbol of progression and prosperity, the zodiac sign of the Snake inspires this capsule, recreating the animal’s characteristic sinuosity through a special wavy quilting with contrasting red stitching, running horizontally across the front and back of the outerwear pieces. Carrying with it a spirit of transformation and renewal, the Year of the Snake ‘025 design features removable monochrome sleeves and a hood. Garment-dyed, the outerwear and long trousers are presented in both black and silver.

The garments are crafted from the iconic Stone Island Nylon Metal, the metallic-sheen fabric born from the brand’s Lab culture. Accessories and lighter categories are embellished with the Stone Island compass embroidery in red,conveying a distinctive artisanal feel. The capsule comes with dedicated red Year of the Snake ‘025 packaging featuring a silver metallic Stone Island logo. After dropping in China first, obviously, the capsule collection is available at a large number of Stone Island stores and shop-in-shops across the planet, including Milan, Rome, Venice, Florence, London, Paris, Munich, Frankfurt, Vienna, New York City, Los Angeles, Toronto, Tokyo, Tokyo Shibuya Parco, Tokyo Ginza Mitsukoshi, Osaka Umeda Hankyu, Osaka Shinsaibashi Parco, Seoul, Daegu, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Macau. © superfuture
