Since its inception in 2013, womenswear brand Coperni has garnered an ever-growing following among young fashion-forward circles across the planet. Its Paris-based founders Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant, two fashion professionals who previously helmed the revived Courrèges label and also happen to be partners in real life, know how to tick all the boxes of the aforementioned discerning demographic. The Coperni silhouettes are futuristic, bold, and last but not least, sexy, and it’s no surprise that the collection of apparel pieces, accessories, bags and shoes is in high demand, and as such, the brand has built an impressive network of leading stockists, from Lagos to Tokyo, and from Mexico City to Helsinki, but it doesn’t operate any branded retail space of its own. Well, that was yesterday.

Today, Coperni has inaugurated a shop-in-shop at Printemps department store at home base Paris, featuring an interior design that totally befits the brand’s aesthetic. Perched on the second floor, the setting has been created in collaboration with Swiss modular furniture brand USM, and sees the shop-in-shop more or less demarcated by two USM arches, which incorporate clothing racks, and a large backdrop bearing the brand’s name. Taking centre stage is a sizeable square display to present products from its other product ranges. In stark contrast, the flooring comprises traditional Versailles parquet, albeit framed by USM‘s signature silver tubes. In sync with the opening in the French capital, shop-in-shops have been inaugurated at Selfridges in London, and somewhat surprisingly, also at China Duty Free shopping centre in the popular South Chinese resort town of Sanya.
