As recently as a few days before this invasion we published several reviews of establishments in Russia. We have also recently published many reviews of establishments in Ukraine. We know we have an audience in both countries.
superfuture has always been a politics and religion free zone. We are a travel and design destination and broadcast to a sizable global online community. On social media our focus is to curate the best examples of design around the planet.
All we can hope is that any attention these reviews get are matched with condemnation of the actions of the Russian Government. In the meantime we fully support all designers, creatives and others in Russia who share our disgust. We hope they find a way to timely overthrow their completely insane and increasingly unhinged leader.
This is a surreal trip back to the superpast. My ancestors on one side left Russia from Riga starting in 1877. Another branch left from Odesa in 1883. Around that time Czar Alexander III expelled, deposed, or deported anyone he didn’t like. Fortunately they escaped and ended up in France and England, then later emigrated to Australia.
Putin clearly has some warped big dick romantic fantasy to return Russia to how it was 140 years ago. He has got to be stopped.

The scope of our content has always been global and borderless, however that can often mean covering projects in countries where we will not agree with the politics or actions of those countries. In a world that’s as screwed up as ever right now, the focus of our support is to those designers, architects and other creatives who aim to make the world a more liveable one – as opposed to people that try their hardest to destroy it. So if a project hits our desk and we like it based on its design credentials, we may choose to publish regardless of its location or creators nationality. superfuture® has always been inclusive and hopes for all current wars, aggression, violence, hate and extremism to end.
