First launched in Amsterdam five years ago, Zoku is shifting gear, bringing its hybrid hotel-and-office concept to Copenhagen. The Danish capital arguably is the biggest creative hub in the Nordic countries, and as such, a seamless match for the Dutch hospitality chain whose concept is geared towards new industry professionals and the more savvy kind of traveller. The hotel occupies a purpose-built red brick structure by Danish architecture practice Arkitema and is situated halfway Copenhagen Airport and the historic city centre, in the emerging Amager Vest area of town. Guest check in on the top floor, entering the premises by way of a light-filled corridor which leads to Zoku Copenhagen‘s social hub, a multi-functional space with plenty of cozy nooks where to sit back and mingle do some work, all within reach of a well-stocked bar.

The hotel features 160 guest rooms and so-called Zoku Lofts in five different categories and sizes, each designed to meet all requirements of modern travellers and roaming professionals alike. The cleverly designed apartment-inspired lofts are perfectly geared towards long-stay guests, and come with an open living area, a fully equipped kitchen and comfy lofted beds. As said, the top floor functions as an extended living room, but one with great versatility as it offers an effortless transition from leisure to work and back again thanks to co-working and meeting spaces, event spaces, and last but not least, a lively informal restaurant called Living Kitchen serving freshly made, healthy dishes all day long. Zoku Copenhagen‘s modern lifestyle appeal is further boosted by a rooftop garden and terrace, an onsite organic supermarket and an affiliated gym nearby.
