The most popular luxury fashion house on the planet never really flaunted the year of its foundation in its merchandise, but that’s about to change. Louis Vuitton is about to release a elaborate capsule collection with the year 1854 prominently featured, but that’s not all, the global release on Fri – Sep 25 also comes with a new jacquard monogram pattern reinterpreted by creative director Nicolas Ghesquière who found inspiration in 1960s wallpapers. Aptly entitled Since 1854, it’s a quirky, retro-infused update which will resonate well with older and younger Louis Vuitton aficionados given the well-balanced offerings and their visual alignment with the vintage trend in fashion. The jacquard fabric is available in dark grey and bordeaux, captured by 56 coveted items for both women and men, ranging from a mini dress and bags, to hats, shawls and footwear. The Louis Vuitton Since 1854 capsule collection will be available at the brand’s stores worldwide, but also online.
