This summer season’s ultimate men’s derby style comes from Clergerie. Founded in 1985 by legendary French designer Robert Clergerie, the brand became a household name among discerning shoppers in France and other European countries in the 1980s and 1990s. It has since lost some of its luster, but following the appointment of David Tourniaire-Beauciel as Clergerie‘s new creative director, the shoe brand is gradually regaining the limelight with hot designs for men and women. But let’s go back to this summer’s men’s trophies, shall we? The derby model, called Anima, totally fits the wardrobe of today’s urban dandy. Beautifully crafted from vegetable-tanned clay calfskin, it’s playfully paired with a contrasting bright yellow rubber sole and a visible leather welt. The shoe is available at Clergerie stores in Paris, London, Madrid, GenevaNew York City and L.A., in addition to a number of select stores across the planet, but can also be ordered online.
