If you’ve been looking for a stylish pad in Manhattan, and without having to worry about sufficient funds that is, chances are you’ve eyed Zaha Hadid Architects‘ magnificent residential structure at 520 West 28th Street, and right beside the hailed High Line park. The London-based architecture practice has just opened a 2,000 sq.ft. (186  sqm.) pop-up exhibition on the ground floor of the aforementioned complex. On display is a retrospective which explores the multi-faceted works of the acclaimed practice during the past four decades, demonstrating its prowess to create nifty buildings, objects and products with often an unprecedented level of innovation. The showcase presents all of architect Zaha Hadid‘s formal concepts at all scales, from city masterplans and skyscrapers to furniture pieces, product designs, and jewellery pieces, and even includes a curated selection of architectural models of 520 West 28th Street and a series of six ‘Silver Models’ that represent other key projects. Surrounding the gallery are black-and-white images by Swiss-French architecture photographer Hélène Binet, exhibited in conjunction with Ammann Gallery in Cologne (open through Nov 30).
