With no less than seven properties opening across the planet, you could say 2018 is quite a busy year for Edition Hotels. Conceived by legendary hotelier Ian Schrager, the design-led chain with a sophisticated focus on personalized hospitality and local culture, has recently opened its latest property in one of the Mediterranean’s most exclusive resorts. As its name already implies, The Bodrum EDITION is situated near the town of Bodrum, right on the Turkish Riviera, set across a pristine stretch along Yalıkavak Bay. The five-star property comprises of 102 guestrooms, bungalows with private pool, and one lavish four bedroom private villa with pool for those in search of the ultimate in luxury. The chosen aesthetic is elegant yet in a laid-back way and very much infused with life at the beach, featuring warm wood finishes and airy fabrics.
As such, the rooms have a light colour palette paired with stone floors and ensuite marble bathrooms. Obviously, sweeping views of the emerald expanse that’s the Aegean are included. The layout of the grounds are far from rigid as the guest rooms and bungalows are interspersed by pathways and leisure areas, overlooking the beach and jetty with private cabanas below. The Bodrum EDITION‘s facilities add up to its refreshing approach to luxury, offering top-notch service in an adventurous and slightly free-spirited settings. The resort hotels offers no less than three dining options. Situated near the jetty overlooking the bay, Brava is a stylish yet fun all-day dining spot offering Peruvian chef Diego Muñoz‘s family-style, cosmopolitan fare that clever makes use of both Mediterranean and Turkish flavours.
Just a tad more formal, Kitchen is set amongst marble stone, light walls and naturally finished teak timber. The menu is inspired by local delicacies and the traditional Kahvalti, or Turkish breakfast, one of the most colourful meals on the planet. Last but certainly not least, there’s the Beach Club, a sleek place where to unapologetically soak up the sun and live the good life. Obviously, cocktails and bites can be ordered on the spot. To keep matters in balance, the spa & gym are readily available, respectively offering fourteen treatments rooms, a Turkish Hammam, sauna, salon, Vitality Lounge and Vitamin Bar, and cutting edge equipment for strength, free weights, or cardio and fitness training, either on your own or with a programme tailor-made by professional instructors.
