Since its foundation in Vancouver little over a decade ago, athletic and streetwear brand Reigning Champ has come into full bloom, featuring a growing retail network on home turf and far beyond. Following the opening of its first store in the city’s Kitsilano neighbourhood, Reigning Champ has now opened a second and even bigger outlet in the happening downtown district, and sees a renewed collab between founder Craig Atkinson and acclaimed local architect Peter Cardew. The store occupies a lofty 3,000 sq.ft. (279 sqm.) ground floor unit and features an understated interior design that’s captured by tiled up walls, linoleum flooring, and custom-made cabinets in light timber and suspended by floor-to-ceiling beams. Each fixture is constructed from interchangeable components such as tables, boxes and hanging rods, allowing for more configurations. The new Reigning Champ boutique carries the brand’s full range of men’s and women’s apparel, shoes and accessories. Location: 1148 Robson Street (Downtown).
