such good food and drinks. all traditional japanese ofcourse.
it's family-run and there's a friendly grandmama-san who looks after you attentively as if you were her own offspring. but remember: one strictly speaks <i>nihon go</i> here...

now this place is a REAL challenge...to find, that is [we mean without using google maps!]. it's located way out of town, actually a 45-minute express train ride from shinjuku station and once you've arrived in tachikawa your navigational skills [and probably your linguistic talents too] will be put severely to the test. but...should you find it, you'll be rewarded with an intimate oasis of good food 'n drink! this small family-run business is tucked away in the most obscure little alley i've seen in all of tokyo.
