roen all the way,... japan's goth+streetwear answer to dior homme. pointy crocodile sandal-shoes, tank tops with crystal beaded skull and cross bones, wierd skull objet thingies that look like they're made of dryer lint... some very handsome tailored mens trousers [if you have the waist of a 15 year old girl].
skinny japanese boys with a lot of style
they left us alone, which is probably the vibe we were giving off [obviously nothing was going to fit us...]. other people from roen have been totally charming and delightful so i'd be surprised if the shop staff were anything but.
rusty metal walls, beat up black wooden cabinets, rusty chains hanging from the ceiling, and wierd little garden alcove, with real live plant matter! [does sunlight ever see this place?!...and is this where that funny smell was coming from?]

[update 2014 - moved to nishi azabu] add to the list of covert tokyo shops. turn down the side street with 'and accessoire' on the corner and keep your eyes peeled. very dark stairway is lit with red lightbulbs and decorated with numerous crucifixes. have to buzz to get in. door in front of you is a fake and the wall panel opens.
