When Click Clack Hotel opened its very first property six year ago in the Colombian capital Bogotá, the local hospitality landscape saw a new benchmark of modern cool. Founders Juan Felipe Cruz, Tomas Beltran and Diego Camacho have now shaken up the scene in Medellín, the country’s second largest city, with much needed contemporary lodgings. The hotel, situated in the leafy Lalinde area of town, sees a renewed collab with local architecture practice Plan:b, and occupies a purpose-built structure, which at the same time forms an integral part of the neighbourhood’s urban fabric. As such, it’s part of a housing block, creating a pedestrian crossing, an internal park and new semi-public spaces along the way, and this also instigates an organic interaction with the surrounding area.

The new Click Clack Hotel property features 123 guestrooms in six different categories and sizes, each separated by balconies, gardens and terraces, allowing the tropical climate to access the building with its fresh air currents. Geared towards today’s savvy traveller, the pads obviously meet all modern standards and includes amenities such as a comfy hypoallergenic bed, high-speed internet, a min bar, and free local calls. The building’s hallways have natural lighting, and all the terraces and other public areas feature an abundance of lush tropical greens. The ground floor lobby seamlessly blends with the hotel’s bar and restaurant, a lively facility which is frequented by hotel guests and neighbourhood dwellers alike. The list of Click Clack Hotel services includes room service, laundry service and a convenient shuttle service to José María Córdova Airport.
