the bounty found here is a mix of high-end "vintage" looks from the 70s and 80s blended with a slightly harder-edged "rocker" aesthetic...think charlie's angels and a little "dynasty" tinged with modern denim and leather...earl jeans is probably the only largely recognizable label -- all others are too cool/cutting-edge to be mainstream, unless i-D or the FACE are your bibles...
"stylist" types who troll haight street for "inspiration", fashion renegades and chloe sevigny wanna-be's...
young, friendly girls with intrinsic style, not based on what is in vogue this month...no fashion victims here...
like going through someone's attic...easy to maneuver the not-too-stuffed racks, overturned crates and a bench hold coveted leather bags and fluffy cashmere, head for antique gumball machine for sugar rush as needed...

pick your way over the homeless bodies and maneuver through the dread-heads pushing "green bud" and your reward is finding taxi, [did i mention there is no sign out front either? also, the main entrance is shared by another store -- don't turn left, stay right...] shopping here is one way to avoid clawing through those musty vintage and re-sale shops to find that elusive "only-I-have-it" frock...
