Founded in Sydney by Sean Venturi little over a decade ago, Venroy has put Australian leisurewear on the map with relaxed yet sophisticated silhouettes for both men and women. The brand operates six standalone boutiques across three states Down Under, and since last year, also a store in the Mediterranean’s ultimate holiday destination—the sunny island of Capri. But this year, Venroy continues its expansion abroad with a boutique in another coveted resort, and this one is also halfway across the planet. Montauk has always been the preferred downtime hangout of many a busy Manhattanite, but the pandemic saw an influx of new permanent residents which spawned further expansion of its sophisticated shopping infrastructure. Venroy has secured a 1,000 sq.ft. retail space on the premises of a low-rise structure built in Tudor style alongside South Etna Avenue. Designed by longtime in-house architect Sarah I’Anson, the timber-infused settings are understated yet warm and homely, featuring a curated range of furniture pieces and objects d’art, both selected for both aesthetic and function. The new Venroy boutique carries the full range of men’s and women’s apparel, swimwear, accessories and shoes.

Just to be clear – superfuture® is a design blog and not a political commentator. No surprise there. The scope of our content has always been global and borderless, however that can often mean covering projects in countries where we will not agree with the politics or actions of those countries. In a world that’s as screwed up as ever right now, the focus of our support is to those designers, architects and other creatives who aim to make the world a more liveable one – as opposed to people that try their hardest to destroy it. So if a project hits our desk and we like it based on its design credentials, we may choose to publish regardless of its location or creators nationality. superfuture® has always been inclusive and hopes for all current wars, aggression, violence, hate and extremism to end.
