Frolicking around Ibiza has always been fun, but with the recent opening of W Ibiza, the island finally offers lodgings compatible with the island’s pizzazz. The property is situated at Santa Eulària des Riu, a resort town approx. 15km northeast of Ibiza Airport, and occupies a beach front structure from the 1980s. Fully transformed by Tel Aviv-based interior design practice Baranowitz + Kronenberg, the 162-room hotel pairs ultimate comfort with a fun-infused bohemian lifestyle that’s renowned across the planet. The rooms come in no less than eleven different categories, ranging from the compact Cozy and Wonderful guest rooms, to the more grand EWOW Suite and Penthouse for those who love to live large. Obviously, each pad is well-appointed and meets all the requirements of today’s savvy traveller. The existing structure now sees a dramatic ascending section of the ground floor that follows from the main entrance esplanade to the outdoor pool and sea, allowing guests to easily connect and engage, celebrating life or retreat and relax.

This spatial arrangement is set between a concrete floor and steel-wired hand-wove laced ceiling, and it’s a setting which incorporates the bold and playful themes of W Hotels. The good life rules fierce at W Ibiza, and its very much reflected by alluring facilities, most notably the venues where both hotel guests and visitors wine and dine until the wee little hours. Contemporary and laid-back, Ve Café is a promenade-style health food bar designed to uplift guests with fresh and wholesome bites and drinks. Situated smack on the beach overlooking the sea is Chiringuito Blue. Relaxed yet stylish, it’s a vibrant beach restaurant where the flavours of the eastern  Mediterranean meet Ibiza cuisine. Last but not least, there’s La llama, an à la carte steakhouse, and opening in the course of next year is Glow, an exclusive rooftop venue for Ibiza-worthy nocturnal debaucheries.
