as they say, timing is everything, and when it comes to superior execution we're talking the well oiled machine of tudor watches. for 2011 the brand has struck a perfect balance between style and technical performance. an icon of reliability, tudor pays homage to its six decades of engineering by recently relaunching the heritage chrono, one of the brand’s most emblematic pieces. we're particularly obsessed with the fly back model - a sophisticated exercise in retro form and modern function. apart from its blatantly sexy shell the watch comes fully equipped with a 42 mm case, bevelled edged lugs, stylized shoulders and knurled edges that improve grip.
the 45 minute counter mirrors the orignal counter of the 1970s, and its sleeker watch case gives it a slicker, contemporary edge. the fly back also boasts a bi directional rotatable bezel, also originally designed for the 1970s first edition and comes with a three link solid steel bracelet with a new clasp or a black, grey and orange fabric strap with a newly developed vintage and seat belt inspired buckle. oh and in case you were wondering, its waterprrof up to 150 meters. sheesh... this thing is practically a miniature all terrain space craft. check out the video teaser below for a closer look at the chrono fly back in all its glory.
