tokyo: parco shibuya 40

parco shibuya is a tokyo retail institution. the ginormous department store celebrates its 40th anniversary this year and commissioned a very special christmas tree installation and corresponding exhibition from visual artist masaru ozaki. the christmas tree installation, consisting of a 3d projection onto giant cubes stacked into a christmas tree shape, launches mon - nov 9 [7pm] and will be the focal point of the store's christmas celebrations. a related exhibition, dubbed motion + design + magic, opens a few days earlier on sat - nov 7. on display are a series of masaru ozaki's cutting–edge, interactive installations that push the boundaries of technology. christmas tree location: parco factory, parco part 1, ground floor, 15-1 udagawa-cho [shibuya]. exhibition location: parco part 1, 6th floor, 15-1 udagawa-cho [shibuya].
