tokyo: media ambition tokyo

only launched last year, media ambition tokyo is an ambitious showcase of tech-savvy japanese artists. the annual event presents innovators from various creative fields through cutting-edge art installations and live, tech-infused gigs at two locations in tokyo: mori tower in roppongi [1] and intersect by lexus in aoyama. by bringing together a tightly curated selection of creatives media ambition tokyo also aims to boost the japanese capital's somewhat faded reputation as a global hub of creativity and innovation, and help it regain some of its former buzz and lustre.

this year's edition has been expanded and exhibits 18 never-before-seen tech artworks by 16 artists on mori tower's popular viewing deck. within the art presentation, special attention has been given to ophelia has a dream, an interactive exhibit created in 2011 for japanese fashion miharayasuhiro by visual studio wow and italian photographer paolo roversi. additionally, a series of live gigs by some of tokyo's leading deejays and musicians are scheduled [on through mar 30]. click here to view the event's full program [japanese only]. location [1]: mori tower, 6-10-1 roppongi, 52nd floor [roppongi]. location [2]: intersect by lexus, 4-21-26 minami-aoyama [aoyama].
