tokyo-based jiro konami  is a photographer whose approach to his craft is as quirky and inquisitive as juergen teller's. as a sought-after lensman, komani's work regularly appears in leading japanese and international publications. next to fashion shoots, his topics include a wide variety of interests, and one of his most elaborate and interesting projects was documenting his very own father, who lived on a remote island, for eight consecutive years. the japanese photographer's latest creative effort, a photo series shot in australia, will be exhibited at the biotop concept store. the show opens fri - jun 12 [7pm-10pm], and in addition to the photographs on display, it'll present framed works and limited edition posters and t-shirts. all these items are obviously for sale to the public. location: biotop, 4-6-44 shirokanedai [shirokanedai].
