© louis vuitton - it's all light and bright at espace vuitton tokyo louis vuitton's maison on prestigious omotesando dori has been closed for months due to a massive renovation, and tokyo shopaholics are eagerly awaiting for the doors to reopen and explore the new splendour. it's rumoured that the superstore has undergone many changes, one of them being the creation of a new art space, dubbed espace vuitton tokyo, perched on the 7th floor. french artist and superfuture fav xavier veilhan has been selected for the venue's inaugural show, dubbed free fall, that is set to open on sat - jan 15.
the artist is no stranger to the luxury brand, having currently a show at espace vuitton on new york's fifth avenue. so what's on display? the artist drew inspiration from espace vuitton tokyo's elevated spot on the top floor of the store and the exhibition features a series of prints, sculptures and installation that more or less reflect this theme. one of our fav works is tokyo statue , a 4-metre giacometti-like sculpture in polyester resin, crafted entirely in abstract facets. location: 5-7-5 jingumae [harajuku].
