tokyo: diesel + edun present studio africa

at last year's iht luxury conference in romeali hewson and bono - the founders of fashion brand edun - and diesel's renzo rosso announced a collab that would see the launch of a denim line made in africa. the diesel + edun collection has now dropped in select diesel stores, and to mark the launch a related art project has been initiated. opening today at tokyo's diesel art gallery is diesel + edun presents studio africa, an exhibition that aims to give visibility to africa’s incredible creativity and large talent pool. on display are a series of portraits of nine young and influential african artists, all shot for the studio africa campaign by photographer alasdair mclellan. among the modeling artists are soweto-based trio photographers i see a different you - consisting of twin brothers innocent and justice mukheli and their best friend vuyo mpantsha - whose own work will be featured alongside it [on through may 10]. location: cocoti building, 1-23-16-b1f shibuya [shibuya].
